About This Plot
The above plot shows the previous 23+ hours of the vertical channel of the ASU seismometer, filtered from 0.05 Hz to 0.5 Hz.
All global earthquakes with magnitude greater than 5.0 are shown on the plot. Note that the time of the actual earthquake is shown, the signal from that earthquake may arrive at ASU more than an hour later depending on the earthquake location. Many of the earthquakes with magnitudes 6 or less may not show up on the plot due to the relatively noisy location of the seismometer in a major metropolitan area.
